Operate the front brake lever completely.
Pull the clutch lever (11) completely and
shift the gearbox lever (12) into neutral
[green warning light LED " " (13) on].
NOTE
If the room temperature is low
(near to or lower than 0 °C – 32 °F), see p.

CAUTION
To avoid excessive consumption of the
battery, do not keep the start push but-
ton " " pressed for more than fifteen
seconds.
If the engine does not start in this lapse
of time, wait ten seconds and press the
start push button " " again.
Press the start push button " " (14) with-
out accelerating and release it as soon
as the engine starts.

CAUTION
Avoid pressing the start push button
" " (14) when the engine is running,
since you may damage the starter.
If the engine oil pressure warning light
LED "
" (5) remains on, or if it comes
on during the normal operation of the
engine, this means that the oil pressure
in the circuit is insufficient.
In this case, stop the engine immediate-
ly and contact an APRILIA Official Dealer.
Keep at least one brake lever pulled and
do not accelerate until you start.

CAUTION
Never leave abruptly with cold engine.
To reduce the emission of polluting
substances and the consumption of fu-
el, warm the engine up by proceeding at
low speed for the first miles.

CAUTION
If the diagnostic warning light LED
"EFI" on the dashboard starts blinking
during the normal operation of the en-
gine, this means that the electronic unit
has detected an anomaly.
In many cases, the engine keeps run-
ning with reduced performance levels;
immediately contact an APRILIA Official
Dealer.
