This product is designed with a spring-return structure, allowing it to be removed quickly after lifting.
However, DO NOT pull the cylinder using the attached hose.
Do not exceed the maximum working pressure outlined in this manual.
Cleaning and maintenance
General maintenance
1. Inspect hydraulic cylinder parts monthly for signs of damage, corrosion, or wear.
2. Whenever possible, protect the hydraulic system and components from environmental hazards. Verify that
joints and connectors are securely fastened; loose connections may result in oil leaks, causing both
equipment damage and environmental contamination.
3. Regularly monitor oil temperature and cleanliness. Ensure the oil temperature does not exceed 70°C to
avoid damage to hydraulic cylinder gaskets.
4. Do not use high-pressure jet nozzles to clean the cylinder, as this may damage paint, gaskets, and bearings.
Refrain from dismantling the hydraulic cylinder; if parts need replacement, contact us. Unauthorized
dismantling will void the warranty.
5. Oil cleanliness inspections can be performed by certified hydraulic operators.
Maintenance of main components
1.
Piston rod
Grease the piston rod at least once a month. If the hydraulic cylinder is exposed to salt, it should be
pressurized at least twice a week. This helps extend the service life of the hydraulic cylinder.
Inspect the piston rod surface monthly for any damage. The hydraulic cylinder's oil generally
protects the piston rod.
Ensure the exposed portion of the piston rod (the area not in oil contact) is always protected.
2.
Cylinder body
Check for any paint damage or cracks monthly. All paint damage must be repaired immediately.
3.
Bearings
For hydraulic cylinders with bearings, grease or inspect the bearings monthly. Failing to grease
bearings reduces their service life significantly.
Maintenance-free bearings may not be greased!
Storage
If the hydraulic cylinder will not be put into service immediately, take the following protective steps:
1. Transport and handling: Keep the piston rod fully retracted during transport and lifting.
2. Extended storage with rod extended: If the chromium-plated cylinder rod is extended during transport or
storage, apply anti-corrosion grease to protect the exposed rod.
3. Long-term horizontal storage: If stored horizontally for over four months, slight pressure drops and/or oil
leaks may occur between the chromium-plated rod and front cover. This results from continuous pressure
on the piston gasket and front cover packing. To restore the seal's original shape, cycle the cylinder to full
stroke approximately 10 times under pressure.
