- Page 2 The Murphy Bed can be raised for storage during travel and then lowered for use. Safety latches on the bed platform ensure that the bed is locked in the horizontal position while in use. - Page 4 Operation Always make sure that the bed lift path is clear of people, pets and objects before and during operation. Always keep away from the slide rails when the bed is being operated. Do not allow people or pets on bed while bed is in motion. Prior to Operating Bed Lift System The bed lifting system must never be used while the vehicle is in motion.
