INSTALLATION

INTRODUCTION
This section covers the 701B telephone set.
•
Connection tables are provided in the con-
nections section.
•
A typical installation is shown in Fig. 1.

GENERAL
2.01
A 105- to 120-volt ac receptacle is required
for dial light transformer.
Use either of
the following transformers :
•
No. 2012A-42.
•
KS-16184, List 3.
2.02
For proper dial illumination, the wire be-
tween transformer
and telephone should
not generally exceed 150 feet of standard inside
wire.

Due to added resistance, 25-foot mounting
cords should not be used.

An ElA ringer should be installed with
each 701B telephone set. This ringer also
serves as a connecting block for the 6-conductor
mounting cord.

At the request of the customer the ElA
ringer may be omitted, except in the follow-
ing cases:
