Operating Instructions
To change your password, select "PASSWORD" while in the VIDEO ratings section. This will
prompt you to enter a new password. Enter a four (4) digit numeric password. You will be
prompted a second time to enter the new password for verification. If the new password is
entered successfully a second time you will see a message that your password is successfully
changed.
If a TV program or VIDEO meets the parental control restrictions, a message will appear stating:
"THIS PROGRAM IS LOCKED." To override or change settings you must enter a correct pass-
word.
TV RATING (TV input only)
Select the type of programming to block based on the chart below.
Parents can choose to ALLOW or BLOCK certain types of programming based on content
ratings, that may contain the following: Fantasy Violence, Moderate Violence, Sexual Situations,
or Coarse Language, Suggestive Dialog

OFF No Limitation
All children. The themes and elements in this program are specifically designed for a
TV-Y
very young audience, including children from ages 2-6.
Directed to older children. Themes and elements in this program may include mild
TV-Y7
physical or comic violence, or may frighten children under the age of 7.
General audience. It contains little or no violence, no strong language, and little or no
TV-G
sexual dialogue or situations.
Parental guidance suggested. The program may contain infrequent coarse language,
TV-PG
limited violence, some suggestive sexual dialogue and situations.
Parents strongly cautioned. This program contains some material that
many parents would find unsuitable for children under 14 years of age. This program
TV-14
may contain intense violence (V), intense sexual situations (S), strong coarse language
(L), or intensely suggestive dialogue (D)
Mature audience only. This program may contain mature themes, indecent language,
TV-MA
graphic violence and explicit sexual content.

NC-17 No one under 17 permitted to watch.
X Adults only.
