9.2.1 FACTORY SETTINGS
You can reset your device to factory settings by plugging the
power off device into the charging cable and then pressing
and holding the ON/OFF button and the intensity button at
the top for about 10-3 seconds at the same time. The "Reset"
indicator appears on the display. Continue to press and hold
the button until the ring closes completely.
9.3. SAFETY CHECK, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
The NOVAFON device does not require regular inspection or
maintenance. To ensure safe operation, however, you should
check the device regularly for obvious damage. We also re-
commend that you carry out an electrical safety test, e.g.
compliant with DGVU V3 (German Social Accident Insuran-
ce), at least every 2 years. Please note that there may be na-
tional laws that oblige you to carry out safety checks on the
device. This does not generally apply to private individuals.
If you have any problems with your appliance either discard
or return it to your dealer. Attachments shall be replaced
once they show clear signs of wear or damage (cracks, de-
formations, change in surface). Information regarding repair
options and spare parts can be found on our website.
NOTE: Attachments and batteries are parts subject to wear
and as such are subject to a limited warranty. The battery in
your device can be replaced by NOVAFON or, where applica-
ble, a technician authorised by NOVAFON.
9.4. FIRMWARE UPDATES
Occasionally it may be necessary to update the firmware on
your device. You will be informed of this either in the app or
on our website. To carry out an update, your device must be
paired with the app (see chapter 4.5), the app will guide you
through the necessary steps. The status of the update is di-
splayed on the screen while it is being carried out.
9.5. DISPOSAL
Devices must never be disposed of with common household
waste. For environmentally sound disposal, the user is obli-
gated to dispose of the old device at a designated collection
point for the disposal of electrical and electronic equip-
ment. The device contains a permanently installed battery
and must be disposed of accordingly. Please observe the

national legal regulations when disposing of the device. You
can also send your old device to NOVAFON; we will gladly
dispose of it for you. This device is subject to EU Directive on
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
To ensure the conservation of resources, please dispose of
the packaging separately as waste paper.
10. WARRANTY
From the date of delivery, we grant a warranty of 2 years (24
months) for defects resulting from material or production
defects. Warranty coverage is subject to the presentation of
a proof of purchase. The battery, charging cable, power plug
and the attachements has a limmited warranty of 6 months.
Excluded from the warranty: Damage due to improper use,
normal wear and tear and consumption (also valid for ac-
cessories).
The right of rescission (reversal of the purchase), reduction
(discount on the purchase price) or subsequent delivery is
initially excluded. However, you have a claim to reduction or
conversion at your discretion if we do not remedy a defect
that is subject to our warranty within a reasonable period
of time. Any damage caused by failure to use the product in
accordance with its intended use or resulting from improper
or unreasonable use or maintenance is not covered by the
warranty. Such damage is the sole responsibility of the user.
Failure to comply with this instruction manual will void the
warranty.
Some states may not allow such limitation, so it may not ap-
ply to you. This limited warranty gives you specific and you
may have other rights which may vary from state to state.
Get in touch with your dealer or supplier to claim warranty.
11. CUSTOMER SERVICE
The device may only be repaired by NOVAFON Customer
Service. Please do not send in your defective device without
being asked, but rather clarify the damage and repair costs
with us first. Repair could be more expensive than a new de-
vice. If the repair is no longer financially feasible within the
warranty period, NOVAFON offers a replacement unit (again
with a 24-month warranty).
