power plug suitable for your power connection. Only then
should you plug the power plug into the socket. Note that
only the cable supplied with the charging stand can be used
to connect the charging stand. To charge the device without
a charging stand, use the charging cable included in the de-
vice packaging. Charge the device until the battery is fully
charged (see battery icon, view 1). Do not use the NOVAFON
while it is charging. The device has a low battery indicator.
When the low battery indicator appears (see view 1), you can
continue to use your NOVAFON for a few minutes before it
switches off automatically. When using the charging stand to
charge your device, make sure you are careful when placing
the device onto the connector and removing it. To remove,
hold the charging stand and gently release the device. The
device is charging when the battery indicator appears (see
view 1). Avoid twisting the device in the charging station in
order to prevent damage.
To avoid malfunctions, the device must be completely dry
and free from residues of cleaning agents, disinfectants or
oils / creams.
NOTE: When the device is fully charged, disconnect the pow-
er plug and device from the electrical supply to avoid dama-
ge. If the device is connected to the charging accessory, all
pole breaking and complete disconnection from the mains
can only take place if the mains plug is removed from the
socket.

4.5. THE APP / BLUETOOTH

The Bluetooth mode is deactivated or activated, by pressing
the UP-button for 5 seconds. To pair your device is ready with
your mobile device and the NOVAFON app. Follow the inst-
ructions in the app using the "My NF" tab. Press the intensi-
ty and frequency buttons on the device at the same time until
"Searching" appears on the display. The color of the Blue-
tooth icon (view 1) chang-es if the process was successful.
You will now see 2 small triangles to the left and right of the
Bluetooth icon. In order to pair the device with another app
(e.g. second cell phone, tablet...), the previous connection
must be terminated by simultaneously pressing and holding
the inten-sity and frequency buttons. Wait 5 seconds to re-
connect. To deactivate the Bluetooth mode, press and hold
the intensity button again for approx. 5 seconds.

The app allows you to adjust additional settings on your device:
· Customisation of display colours
· Overview of treatment durations / usage statistics
· Device information display (serial number, firmware ver-
sion)
· Favourite frequency and intensity settings
· Customised welcome text on the display screen
· Firmware updates, if available, an update is only possible
via the app
NOTE: You can also use the device without using the app.
However, you will then only be able to access the basic fea-
tures described in these instructions for use.

4.6. ATTACHMENTS

The attachments are fixed to the device via a plug connection.
They can easily be detached by turning them a quarter turn
and pulling them gently off the device. The attachments click
simply onto the device. The attachments are in the correct
position when the brackets on the device and the attachment
lie seamlessly on top of each other. The magnets help you to
find the final position. Before starting treatment, make sure
that the respective attachment is engaged in the intended
final position. Due to the wave design the attachments can
be individually adjusted by 90° thus allowing individual treat-
ment direction and application to your needs. The direction
of the attachment has no influence on the transmission of
the vibrations into the tissue.
Please refer to the drawing on page 1 for the correct position
of the attachment on the device.
5. APPLICATION & USE & USER GROUPS
NOVAFON sound wave devices are used by doctors and thera-
pists to support their treatment in occupational therapy, physio
therapy and speech therapy. Thanks to their ease of use, the
devices can also be used in the home environment (home use
by lay users). Training in how to use the devices is therefore
not required. The information in these instructions for use must
be observed. Please note that NOVAFON sound wave devices
only alleviate symptoms. They do not treat the underlying cause
and are not a substitute for visiting a doctor. Despite their safe,
