Reconnecting the optical drive cables
An optical drive for the 8000 series may
include a sound cable. Connect this cable
also.

4. Complete the procedure described in
"Reassembling the PC" on page 8–26.
5. Turn on the PC.
6. If you replaced the hard disk drive, restore the
system, software drivers, and any software
applications that were preinstalled on the PC
from Compaq. See "System Recovery
Using Recovery CDs" on page 6–8 for details.
When the recovery process is completed,
reinstall the personal files that you backed up
before replacing your hard disk drive.
