T he Resistive Faults Test is used to determine if there is a short in your p
c aused by a problem with your home wiring or a faulty phone.
The Receiver-Off-Hook Test, as the name implies, tests to see if there are one or more phones
o ff the hook.
A nd finally the Ringers Test, is used to determine if there are too many phones connected to the
phone port.
T o perform a test from the GR-909 suite of tests:
