    General Safety and Installation Advice General safety advice d&b loudspeakers should only ever be flown or installed using WARNING! recommended d&b rigging accessories. The d&b rigging accessories described in the d&b rigging accessories manual and the specific mounting instructions are designed and manufactured to have a high load safety factor for their intended role.

    attached using a d&b rigging accessory must be capable of safely WARNING! and securely supporting the actual load. The rigging accessory used must be safely and securely fixed both to the loudspeaker and to the wall, floor or ceiling. Other points to consider are: When mounting rigging components on walls, floors or ceilings ensure that all fixings and fasteners used are of an appropriate size and load rating (DIN 18800 standards apply within Germany).
  • Page 5 Load safety factors Rigging accessories are safety critical components which can, by their failure, lead to injury or death. To maximise safety and to reduce the risk of the possible consequences of failure, there exist various recommendations which attempt to govern the safe design and construction of rigging components.

    Z5015 02 TV spigot The Z5015 02 TV spigot can be used to vertically suspend single d&b C6/C690/E9 loudspeaker cabinets either directly from the telescopic lighting supports found in many broadcast studios or using a Z5012 Pipe clamp (loads up to 50 kg) fixed to an overhead bar or truss with a tube diameter between 32 and 50 mm.
  • Page 9 Load safety information The maximum permitted safe working load (SWL) (12:1 safety factor) WARNING! for the 02 TV spigot is 70 kg. When used with the Z5012 Pipe clamp the maximum permitted safe working load (SWL) for the TV spigot is de-rated to 50 kg.
