Getting Started with Your Hypex Nilai 500

Powering Your Unit On and Off
Your Nilai 500 has three AC power controls
● Master on / off AC switch on the rear panel
● Standby on / off switch on the front panel
● 12 Volt trigger control input
The front switch can be used to turn on and turn off (standby) the power amplifier when the 12 Volt
trigger option is not used (when used, the 12 Volt trigger overrules the front switch).
Break-in period
When you first turn on the amplifiers, allow approximately 60 minutes warm-up time before critical
listening. After the amplifiers have broken in for several hours, the starting warm-up time should be
approximately 10 minutes.

Note: To make it easier to remove the cover, loosen the four large screws on the back panel and the four screws in the feet. Be sure to retighten all screws when you are done. Voltage Gain Jumper Settings Installation Be sure to install your Hypex Class D amplifier with adequate ventilation.
