"Our commitment is to produce some of the finest Umbrella systems in the world –
Papillon:
The Papillon is a Dual Pole Gazebo with a unique overhead opening, closing and
storage system.
Assembly Information and Care & Maintenance instructions:
NOTE: The Papillon Roof Structure is a FREE SPINNING system.
• The Nyloc nuts must only be tightened to the point where the Nyloc nut holds firmly onto the
threaded shaft.
• Make sure that the Nyloc nuts are not tightened to the point where the rolling system and side
rollers are jammed. This would result in the inability to open and close the canopy and may re-
sult in damage to the gearbox or crank holder.
Assembly Instructions:
It is recommended to use cotton gloves when handling the canopy to avoid dirty marks
on the canvas.
1. Remove the Roof Structure & Canopy from the protective tube. The wooden end plugs are
secured using screws which must be removed to get the end plugs out.
2. Ensure that you are working in a clean area with ample space to assemble the Papillon. It is
advisable to lay the roof structure onto a clean surface as the cover bag and roof canopy
will get marks from a dirty surface. The plastic covering can be used for this purpose – you
can cut the plastic bag down the length so that the clean inner surface becomes the work-
ing surface. Make sure that you do not cut or damage the cover bag or the roof canopy
when cutting the plastic.
3. Cut Cable ties holding the centre & side rollers – make sure you do not cut or damage the
fabric.
4. Remove the canvas cover bag by undoing the zip. The end parts of the cover bag which are
used to cover the vertical structure are folded back over the roof structure. These must be
carefully pulled outwards before loosening the zip.
5. At each end of the roof structure there are 3 threaded shafts. One end of the roof struc-
ture has a square shaft on the centre roller. This shaft fits into the vertical structure holding
the gearbox.
