Figure 4 shows a top-down view of the contents of the DSS-lIDSS-2 enclosure
with the top panel removed. The backplane PCB distributes DC power to all
drives and to the two fans.
The WACS PCB in the DSS-lIDSS-2 accumulates power supply and fan status
signals and reports them to the warning and control system (WACS). During
power-up operation, the backplane sequences power to the drives to minimize
power supply surge currents.
