ADJUSTING THE CUTTING LINE 1. Press the battery latch and remove the battery pack. 2. Turn guard adjustment knob counterclockwise to unlock the safety guard. Move the safety guard backwards or forwards to adjust the cutting swath. NOTE: The safety guard can be moved forwards to set a 35 cm cutting swath.

Rotate the bump knob on the string head until the line on the centre of the bump knob aligns with the arrows on the outer spool.
