  • Page 2 ASSEMBLING TELESCOPE 3. Loosen each Tripod Leg Knob. Pull legs to desired height, then tighten knobs. 6. Attach Equatorial Mount to Tripod. Screw the Mount Lock Screw in from underneath the Tripod.
  • Page 3 Slide the Counterweight (A) a quarter of the way up to Counterweight Bar. Tighten Counterweight Securing Knob (B) securely. See video tutorial for proper balancing at www.carson.com/mytelescope Warning: If counterweight is not secured (fully tightened with counterweight knob and at balance point), the telescope can become unstable and tip over.
