    In order to reach the highest level of operator’s safety while carrying out various tests when using the Calibration set CS 2171, as well as to ensure that the test equipment remains undamaged, it is necessary to consider the following warnings: Read the User manual with special care for safe operation.

    CS 3321F Calibration set Operation with Calibration set 4 Operation with Calibration set Calibration set CS 2171 contains set of 4 different function groups. Operator has to be familiar with the tested instrument (measurements) and with its calibration procedure. 4.1 Continuity resistance test Continuity resistance test group allows 4-wire or 2-wire measurement.

    CS 3321F Calibration set Operation with Calibration set 4.2 Insulation resistance test Measuring leads of tested instrument should be connected to the banana sockets of appropriate insulation resistance in insulation resistance group (2). Connect PE test socket on the tested instrument to COM socket and other to desired resistance socket. Measurement has to be started and displayed result compared with the reference value.

    Substitute leakage, differential leakage and direct PE leakage current tests: Connect PE of measured test sockets to COM socket and L of measured test socket to desired leakage current socket of the CS 2171. Substitute leakage-S and Touch leakage current tests: Connect touch leakage probe to COM socket and L of measured test socket to the desired leakage current socket of the CS 2171.

  • Page 13: High Voltage Test Measurement

    COM socket using standard lead and HV test socket to desired HV socket of the CS 2171 using standard noncascade banana test lead with HV test probe METREL. Connect jumper to (A) sockets. It is possible to connect A-meter into current circuit (instead of jumper) to measure current.
  • Page 14  Maximum loading time is 1 minute!  For connecting HV socket use noncascade banana test cable with HV test probes METREL. Notes:  Insert supplied test tips into HV input sockets if HV test probe tips cannot access contacts inside the sockets.

    To maintain the operator’s safety and to ensure the reliability of the Calibration set it is advisable to inspect the set on a regular basis. Check that the calibrator CS 2171 and its accessories are not damaged. If any defect is found please consult your service center, distributor or manufacturer.
