Repairing Damaged Ribbon

Follow the instruction for Clearing Paper Jams steps 1-9 to access the

ribbon modules.
Remove the ribbon module.
2.
Place the ribbon module onto the ribbon holder.
3.
Remove the take-up spool and the supply spool from the ribbon module.
4.
Place the take-up and supply spools on a flat surface.
5.
Cut away the damaged ribbon edges.
6.
Align the ribbon edges.
7.
Using tape, connect the separated ends.
8.
Load ribbon back into the printer, see
9.
NOTE: Make sure to wind the taped portion of the ribbon onto the take-up
spool before making prints.
