Turning on the Printer

Plug the power cable into the printer, then into the outlet. See

Plug one end of the IEEE 1394A cable into the printer, and the other end

into the IEEE 1394A port on your computer.
Turn the power switch to the ON position (I).
The printer starts and performs a self-check for about one minute.
INITIALIZING appears on the display during the self-check. After the self-
check has completed, READY appears on the display and the STATUS indicator
appears green.
