    1. INTENDED USE This equipment is intended for mowing lawns. It is not suitable for commercial use. Any use other than specifically permitted in this instruction may result in damage or injury. This equipment is intended for use by adults. Children or other people who are unfamiliar with the operating instructions must not operate this equipment.

  • Page 6 Fuel Handling Use caution when handling fuels. They are flammable and the vapors are explosive. Use only an approved container. Never remove the fuel cap or add fuel while the machine is on. Turn off the unit and allow the engine and exhaust components to cool down before refueling.

    5. FILLING FUEL AND OIL TANK WARNING! Gasoline is extremely flammable. Store fuel in specially designed cans for this purpose. Fill the fuel tank only outdoors and before starting the engine. Do not smoke when filling the fuel tank or handling fuel. Never open the fuel tank cap and never add fuel while the engine is running or when it is hot.

    6. OPERATION 6.1 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS a) Always use the lawnmower with the grass catcher or/ and the deflector in position. b) Stop the engine before emptying the grass catcher or before you change the cutting height. c) While the engine is running, never introduce your hands or feet under the lawnmower or under the grass ejection area.
  • Page 16 6.3 ENGINE STARTING COLD STARTING a) Press the primer bulb 3 - 5 times b) Pull engine control lever until it touches the upper handle. c) Pull the starter rope until the engine starts. HOT-STARTING THE ENGINE d) Pull Engine control lever until it touches the upper handle. e) Pull the starter rope until the engine starts.
  • Page 17 6.4 FOR THE SELF-PROPELLED MOWER To engage the self-propelled system, pull on the self-propelled lever(1) and maintain it engaged together with the handle. 6.5 GEAR BOX Control frequently the self-propelled system. Polish the gear in the wheels and put grease on them. Do the same control on the ball bearing if any.

    8. Particular precautions must be taken while mowing on slopes or downing stretches. Mow across the face of slopes, never down or up. 9. Turn off the engine if you must leave the lawnmower unattended, displace the lawnmower or incline it. 10.
  • Page 19 Reposition the mower onto its four wheels. Do not use a pressure washer or hot water to clean the mower. Be careful to avoid soaking parts such as the engine, air cleaner, wheel bearings and metal fastenings. Dry off the machine before storing by leaving it running for a few minutes on a flat, clear surface to prevent corrosion or seizure.

  • Page 21 Before and after each mowing session, check that the blade, its attachment bolts and drive shaft are not damaged or excessively worn. Never try to straighten a bent blade. Replace a damaged, worn or bent blade as soon as possible. Use only genuine parts. Excessive vibration when mowing is a good indication of a problem with the cutting system.

    10. WARRANTY WARRANTY The manufacturer guarantees the product against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of the original purchase. The warranty only applies if the product is for household use. The warranty does not cover breakdowns due to normal wear and tear. The manufacturer agrees to replace parts identifed as defective by the designated distributor.
