    The demand for keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) switches that support 4K video resolution is growing fast. The Vertiv™ Avocent® IPUHD 4K IP KVM device provides you with remote access to servers with 4K video resolution. It also integrates seamlessly with the Vertiv™ Avocent® RM1048P Rack Manager and the Vertiv™ Avocent® MP1000 Management Platform, enabling you to manage and control secure KVM usage at a holistic and granular level.

    Vertiv™ Avocent® IPUHD 4K IP KVM Device Installer/User Guide 2 Web User Interface (UI) Once you have connected the Avocent IPUHD 4K IP KVM device to a network and configured its IP address, you can access the Avocent IPUHD 4K IP KVM device with its web UI. The web UI provides direct access to the Avocent IPUHD 4K IP KVM device.

The up and down directional arrows in the top right corner of the virtual keyboard are used to increase or decrease the size of the keyboard, respectively.

    NOTE: When the Managed mode is selected, all web UI control features in the Configuration tab are disabled, except Registration and Serial Interfaces. 3. Enter the IP address of the managing appliance (Vertiv™ Avocent® RM1048P Rack Manager or Vertiv™ Avocent® MP1000 Management Platform) in the Registrar IP Address field that should manage the Avocent IPUHD 4K IP KVM device.

NOTE: The values in the Interval and WSS Port fields are pre-defined and must not be changed. These values are used only in specific troubleshooting situations.

NOTE: When mapped to a local role with the related security enabled and configured, the AD remote group provides the appropriate permission after login.

To enable or disable FIPS mode:  From the Configuration - System Settings screen, under the FIPS Mode Settings, use the slider to enable or disable FIPS mode.
