Time to install this should only
take about two hours.
Proper installation of this kit required knowledge of the factory
recommended procedures for removal and installation of original
equipment components. We recommend that the factory shop manual
and any special tools needed to service your vehicle be on hand during
the installation. Installation of this kit without proper knowledge of the
factory recommended procedures may affect the performance of these
components and the safety of the vehicle

  • Page 3 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 2 | When removing the upper bolts securing the hardtop to wood frame, it is important that the hardtop be resting on the wood so that it does not fall and get damaged. To achieve this, lean the wood frame forward as far as possible, while still being able to un-fasten the bolts securing the hardtop.
  • Page 4 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 4 | When installing the glass it is important to securely fasten the hardware using a washer and nut behind the hardtop.   • Page 5 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 7 | Use a 3/8 wrench and philips head bit to tighten all screws until they are secure. Included in the hardware kit are 6 rubber washers. There will go on the inside of the hardtop with the nut. The dashed line in the picture represents the hardtop.
  • Page 6 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 9 | At this point of the installation get someone to help you set the hardtop on the the TJ. Notes: Doing this step without assistance could potentially cause injury or damage to the product. It is advised to have someone help you to ensure a safe successful installation.
  • Page 7 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 11 | Check the fitment of the hardtop where it sits behind the driver/passenger door. The hardtop and body of the jeep should meet to form a straight line. Adjust forward or backward as necessary until they are straight with each other. Note: The doors of your TJ will be harder to open and close due to the new seals of the hardtop.
  • Page 8 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 13 | Place the targa on the vehicle for the initial fitment. Ensure the GOOD targa clamps will not be pinched between the vehicle and top. Ensure all clamps will be accessble once targa is in place. The rear clamps like to hang and become stuck between the targa and top if you are not watching.
  • Page 9 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 14 | Finish securing the hardtop using the supplied hex hardware and a 13mm socket. STEP 15 | On all four targa clamps, loosen the adjustment nuts. NEED HELP? 855-680-9595...
  • Page 10 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 16 | Adjust the rear clamps as necessary in order to get them to latch. When the rear latches are clasped the targa should pull down and slightly backwards. In some cases it may be necessary to “pull”...
  • Page 11 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 17 | Adjust the front clamps so that when opened all the way, the hook sits at about the middle of the opening. Slowly secure the latch listening carefully for any cracking or stress noises from the hardtop.
  • Page 12 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 19 | It is recommended to let the hardtop and targa sit on the vehicle for 2-3 weeks without removal to allow the seals to settle before checking for water leaks. It is possible that the hardtop may leak slightly upon installation, but these leaks dissipate after the seals have had a chance to settle.
