• Place the base with its back against a wall. Select a level surface on a bare floor in a central area with a
strong Wi-Fi signal. Do not place it against baseboard heaters or other heating elements.
• Select a permanent location for the Self-Empty Base because every time you relocate it, your robot will
have to completely re-map your house. Remove protective film from robot and the base.
• Remove any objects that are closer than 3 feet from either side of the base or closer than 5 feet from the
front of the base.
• Plug in the base. The indicator light will illuminate green when the base has power.

Attach the side brush to the post on the
bottom of the robot.

Charging
LEFT, MIDDLE, and RIGHT LEDs flashing white in succession
Low Battery
LEFT and RIGHT LEDs flashing red
If your robot is low on battery, the left and right
indicator lights will flash red. Manually place the
robot on the base to begin charging.
While the robot is charging, all three indicator
lights will illuminate white successively. It may take
up to 6 hours to fully charge your robot.
If the robot is idle and away from the Self-Empty
Base for 10 minutes, it will enter Sleep Mode. Enter
sleep mode as long as the robot has neither a map
nor Wi-Fi connection.
