Practical Example for Setting “Targets” and “Accumulation” Below is a practical example of the different ways labels can be printed for prepackaged tomatoes using the “Target” and “Accumulation” screens. The first screen (i.e., “Target”) is used when you know how many packs you want to weigh. For instance, you have three packs of two tomatoes each that you would like to pack and label.

How to Create your PLU Database The Database settings screen can only be accessed from the Main Menu screen. To get to the Main Menu screen, click on the button.

The category classifies the commodities (PLU’s). For example, you can enter a serial number from 1~2999; then in Category 2, serial numbers can be from 3000~5999; and in Category 3, serial numbers can be from >=6000. For demonstration purposes, the photos below show that the files are saved in the U drive. You may choose to save your files in a different drive.

Warning: Using high-resolution pictures slows down the operating speed of the scale. They also use up more memory space which reduces the total amount of PLUs that can be populated. Total Rounding Select the rounding method from the list. Price Unit Setting If the product follows the scale’s price unit, it will automatically convert the price, and will make sure that the display price unit is always the same. If the product that follows its own price unit setting, it will disregard the price unit of the scale and will follow the price unit setting that you had set for that specific product.
Remark: The scale is always in OFF mode automatically. If you need to turn on the VNC switch, you will need to do it manually. System Settings Gravity Settings Input the gravity for your region. Date and Time Select the current date. Select the date format.

Idle Time (sleep mode) Once the selected time has passed and no action has been taken on the sales page, the scale will enter into idle mode. You can set the amount of time you would like the scale to go into idle mode. Touch Screen Calibration If the touch screen panel isn’t working as expected, you may want to try to recalibrate it.
Note: Please consult with a Kilotech technician before doing any software updates. Your scale may not function correctly if it was updated incorrectly. System Information System Information Includes: OIML Version, OS version, scale library version, application version, keyboard input version, and printer library version.
This operation should be done with caution. Once the data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Make sure all that data can be regenerated before doing so. See how to do a backup in the next step. Database backup and recovery Backup the database before powering off.
Operating settings Product Display Set the type of product display. Show the product image and name: Pictures and names of products will be displayed in the sales interface; if there are no pictures of the products, the product name and number will be automatically displayed. Show the product name and number: The product displayed in the sales interface will only show the name and number, not the picture.
Homepage After Print You can set the scale to return to the homepage after printing. This can be set to on and off. On: The scale will return to the homepage after printing the label. Off: The scale will not return to the home page after printing the label. You would have to do it manually. Allow Price Change for Zero-Priced Item Zero-priced items can be set to on/off.
Price update dialog Price updating tip window can be set to on/off. On: when the unit price updates, the tip window will appear. Off: when the unit price updates, tip window will not appear. Long Press Edit Long Press Edit can be set to on/off. On: When Long Press Edit is opened, the long press PLU in the sales interface will pop up the modification page.
Print Count The Print Count is the quantity of labels you want to print at a one time. For example: To print 4 labels, it will show “4”, and will return back to ”0” after you press reset. Play audio after product selection Play audio function can be set to on/off.
Print Method There are two print modes. Auto: load the weight and it will print after the scale is stable. Manual: load the weight and it will print after you press the print key. Pre-pack Mode There are three options for the Print operation, found under the heading Operating Setting under pre packing mode.
Pre-pack Mode (print total only) This operation is used to set the prepackaged mode to always be open and is also found in the Operating Setting under Pre-pack Mode. ON: When you enter the sales page, the pre-package is always open. When you Press on the pre-package button, you close the operation.
Warning Prompts There are 3 warning prompts under weighing mode found in the Operation Setting. Manual: less than 20d (100g), the scale will not print out a label, and there will be no prompt. Warning Prompt: less than 20d (100g), the scale will not print out the label. There will be information indicating that the load is too light.

Base Station IP Reserved function. eth0 If the scale is connected to a network by cable, it will show eth0 to configure IP address, DHCP or manual input. Select the Setting option to input the IP address according to your PC. Note: If network is inaccessible, eth0 will only display MAC address.
Back Display Mode Product Image: the selected product image will display on the customer screen. Advertisement: the customer display will only display the images and videos.
