Installing an adapter in the 9080-HEX system
To install an adapter in the system, complete the steps in this procedure.
Procedure
1. Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on and that the ESD clip is plugged
into a ground jack or connected to an unpainted metal surface. If not, do so now.
2. Remove the adapter cassette from the slot:
a) Press up on the cassette latch retainer (A) to release the latch (B).
The cassettes have two versions of cassette latch retainers; one with a slide up latch retainer; the
other with a rotate up latch retainer.
b) Rotate the cassette latch (B) out and down to unlock the cassette from the slot.
c) Hold on to the cassette latch and by using your hand to support the bottom of the cassette, pull out
the cassette from its slot.
If needed, carefully lift the SMP cables to remove the cassette.

d) Place the cassette on an appropriate ESD surface.
