Operation

Starting the unit

 When starting the unit, observe the precautions described from Page 4 in the section "For safe use of your product"
to ensure that you operate the product correctly.
 Failure to observe the precautions could cause an accident or injury, or even lead to a fatality.
IMPORTANT
 Use the tool and battery in temperatures between 0°C (32°F) and 40°C (104°F).

Fill the chain oil tank with lubricant.
2.
Remove the guide bar cover.
3.
Make sure guide bar and saw chain are not touching any-
thing when starting the chain saw.

Push power button once to turn on power to unit.
NOTE
 Power indicator LED light up when the unit is switched on.

Push the trigger switch lockout.
6.
Push the lockout release lever.
7.
Release the trigger switch lockout and hold the chain saw by
both handles firmly.
8.
Depress trigger switch to increase saw chain speed.
IMPORTANT
When power to the unit is turned on:
 After one minute of inactivity, unit will power itself off.
The power is turned off in about 5 minutes while the chain
brake is in operation.
 If the LED remains lit, operation is normal.
 If the LED flashes once per second, the battery needs to be
charged.
 If the LED flashes four times per second, chain brake is ac-
tivating. Pull front hand guard towards the operator immedi-
ately. (Chain brake RELEASED position)
 When the LED flashes four times per second even if the
chain brake is released, there is a fault within the product.
Turn power off to unit. Remove battery. Contact your dealer
for repair.

Release the trigger switch and lockout release lever, and al-
low saw chain to stop.

Push power button to turn off power to unit.
NOTE
 Power indicator LED turns off when power to unit is turned
off.
* When the trigger switch is released, the saw chain automati-
cally stops. Motor control changes depending on temperature
of the battery therefore stop time of the saw chain is not
steady.
* If the power button does not stop the chain saw, remove the
battery to stop the power supply to chain saw. Have your au-
thorized servicing dealer repair power button before using
chain saw again.
