Adjusting the Iris (F Number)
Manually
To achieve special creative effects or to cope with special
lighting situations or fast-action scenes, you can adjust
the iris (F number) manually.
1 Press the [MENU] Button.
The Menu appears.

Turn the [PUSH] Dial to select [MODE].

Press the [PUSH] Dial to select [MNL].

Turn the [PUSH] Dial to select [IRIS].

Press the [PUSH] Dial to select
[SELECT].
The Manual Iris Adjustment Menu [MANUAL(IRIS
SELECT)] appears.
6 Turn the [PUSH] Dial to select
[MANUAL] and then press the [PUSH1
Dial.
The Manual Iris Adjustment Menu appears.

Turn the [PUSH] Dial to adjust the iris
value (F number).

Press the [MENU] Button twice to exit
the Menu.
The indication of the selected iris value (F number)
appears.
Range of Iris adjustment
CLOSE (Closed)
FI6.0 ... FI.7 -► OP (Opened)
+0dB...+18dB
The nearer to [CLOSE] a value you select, the darker the
picture becomes.
The nearer to [OP] a value you select, the brighter the
picture becomes.
The figures with +dB show the Qain-up value. If you
increase the value too much, the picture deteriorates.
