Manually Focusing on the Subject
(Manual Focus)
To adjust the focus manually for subjects and recording
situations for which automatic focusing is not precise.
1 Press the [MENU] Button.
The Menu appears.
2 Turn the [PUSH] Dial to select [MODE].
3 Press the [PUSH] Dial to select
[MNL] O
4 Press the [MENU] Button to exit the
Menu.
5 Keep the [PUSH] Dial pressed until the
[MF] Indication
Q
appears.
6 Turn the [PUSH] Dial until the subject is
sharp.
Changing Back to Automatic Focusing
Keep the [PUSH] Dial pressed until the [MF] Indication
disappears.
Hint for Manual Focus Adjustment
♦ If you adjust the focus in the wide-angle setting, the
subject may go out of focus when it is enlarged.
Therefore, enlarge the subject

before you adjust the
focus, so that the picture remains focused ©.
