Since each Ethernet client configures its ARCNET Node ID and TCP/IP
settings by using the application protocol, the displayed settings are for
information only, they are not subject to editing.
The Netmap displays the nodes of the expanded ARCNET network:
conventional nodes are displayed in yellow
–
IP clients mapped to ARCNET nodes are displayed in green
–
clicking on "Dec" or "Hex" will switch the format of the node
–
numbers between decimal and hexadecimal.
The IP Table displays the IP addresses and ARCNET parameters of the
Ethernet clients currently registered by the device.
10.1.6 Page "Gateway – Bridge Mode"
Two or more ARCNET networks that are too remote to be connected by
an ARCNET line may be interconnected by two Gateways in Bridge Mode
provided that no node ID exists more than once in the combined network.
The Gateway may be switched into Bridge Mode by inserting a case-
sensitive ASCII string in the field "Cloud Name" and by after-wards
clicking on "Save and Reboot".
All Gateways sharing the same cloud name will be interconnected over
the TCP/IP network. Inserting "-" or an empty string into the field "Cloud
Name" will cause the device to enter no cloud, or to leave a cloud.
"Reconnection Interval (s)" sets the time in seconds between to attempts
to search for other Gateways in the network.
