SH ARC-GATEWAY is a protocol converter for the intercommunication
between ARCNET and TCP/IP networks. For administration and
configuration the device is accessed to by a web interface or by a remote
terminal.
This manual describes the putting into service and the operation of the
device. The protocol conversion is implemented according to the
SOHARD as well as to the AUG protocol and is being described in the
Programming Manual of SH ARC-GATEWAY.

Description of the Device

9.1
SH ARC-GATEWAY allows to interconnect ARCNET and TCP/IP
networks. It can be used as a desktop device as well as be mounted on
top-hat rail. 6 LEDs indicate the status of the device.

Reset of the Gateway

9.3
The gateway can be reset to factory settings by means of a reset button
on the front side.For that purpose the button must be pushed and held
using of a long thin object. Then the power supply must be switched on.
The reset button must be held for approx. 60 sec. until the LED "Ready"
has begun to light continuously.

Device is connected to an Ethernet network.
Device is connected to an ARCNET network.
Indicates RECONs in the ARCNET network. When it
flashes frequently, the network is defective or
incomplete.
Device has been booted and is operational.
