Troubleshooting

A status message is displayed in the event of certain device
conditions. The number that appears below the message is used for
service functions. If the status message remains after switching the
device on and off several times, contact DrägerService or your dealer.
Fault/message
The device cannot be
switched on.
Volume too low/
sample invalid.
Device outside tem-
perature range
(over range)
Volume too small

Cause
Battery drained.
Test subject is blow-
ing intermittently or
not hard enough.
Device is too hot or
too cold.
Measuring range
exceeded. Alcohol
residues that are still
in the mouth may
cause incorrect mea-
suring values.
Breath sample vol-
ume too small.
Measuring range
exceeded.
Irregular exhalation,
abrupt end, or inhala-
tion

Troubleshooting
Remedy
Replace battery.
Blow into the mouth-
piece harder and con-
tinuously.
Allow the device to
cool down or warm
up.
A wait time of at least
15 minutes after alco-
hol was last orally
consumed must have
elapsed (see "Prereq-
uisites for use",
page 8). To repeat,
press the
button.
