OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

ICE BUCKET

This machine is intended to produce ice only. It is
not intended for the long-term storage of ice. Move
any excess ice into a freezer for long-term storage
(>24 hours) if you desire to keep it.
Your ice bucket is designed to be easily removed.
To remove it, tilt up the front part of the box then
simply pull it out.
Important: The ice bucket is designed with a front
face and back face. To prevent a water leak the
bucket must be installed with the front face forward.
The bucket has been labeled with a sticker that
states "Back" and this face of the bucket must be slid
in first so that the sticker is not visible from the front.
1. Deflector plate
2. Ice full probe
3. Evaporator (ice mold)
Important: Please make sure the Splash plate
always hang to the right place, otherwise will cause
leakage to the floor.
ICE SCOOP
This appliance comes equipped with a stainless steel
ice scoop that also facilitates the removal of ice from
the ice bucket.
Use this scoop to break up any sheets of ice that fall
into the bucket.
IMPORTANT:
Although the unit has been tested and cleaned at
the factory, due to long-term transit and storage,
the first batch of cubes must be discarded.
Never turn the water supply tap off when the ice
maker is working.
Never touch the evaporator when the machine is
running!
Except to take ice from the unit, keep the door
closed to reduce ice melting and insure proper
ice formation.
The ice maker begins with a fixed charge of water
that is contained in the water trough. As the water
flows to the freezing evaporator surface, the portion
of water that does not contain mineral impurities
will freeze and stick to the ice cube molds. The
water containing impurities falls back into the
water trough. During the ice-making process, fresh
water enters the water trough continuously as the
water from the trough freezes continuously on the
evaporator.
IMPORTANT:
This ice maker is not a freezer. We recommend
setting the ice-maker on continuous drain or
utilizing the drain pump to minimize the rate at
which the ice melts.
