Type of tapes which can be played correctly:
The unit automatically identifies the type of tape.

•Both deck 1 and 2 can be used to playback tapes,
•This page shows an example using deck 1.
n Switch on the power.
Q Press A OPEN on deck 1, and then insert the
tape.
Load a tape with the exposed side facing downward.
Close the cassette holder.

To listen to a tape recorded in Dolby B NR:
Press DOLBY NR and check
NR" is dis¬
played.
When playing back a tape which was not recorded in Dolby NR,
press DOLBY NR so that the indicator goes off,
FI Press REV MODE to select the reverse mode.
Each time you press REV MODE, one of the indicators will
appear.
The deck plays one side only, and then stops automa¬
tically.
The deck plays both sides, and then stops automatically.
The deck plays both sides 8 times, and then stops auto¬
matically.
When you load tapes into both decks, sequential play¬
back will repeat 8 times (See page 50).
H Press < or >.
>: The forward side will play.
<: The reverse side will play.
P3 Adjust the volume level as you like.
To stop tape playback:
Press■.
To change the deck to be used:
Press DECK 1/2 to select the deck you want to play.
E>eck 1 or deck 2 indicator lights up.
