Configuring the Data Ports
Network DS0s must be mapped to the Data Ports for data. To configure the DataPort:
1. From the top-level menu screen, select Cnfig.
2. Select Activ.
3. Select Edit.
4. Select Port.
5. Press the Function key under the port to be configured.
6. Using Table 2 as a guide, make sure that the proper port type is selected (V.35,
EIA 530, RS-449, or X.21).
7. Check any other options which may be needed.

Allocating Data Ports

To select the data port:
1. From the top-level menu screen, select Cnfig.
2. Select Activ.
3. Select Edit.
4. From the Edit screen, press the
screen.
5. Select Chan.
6. From the Channel Config screen, press the
screen.
7. Select the desired port by pressing its corresponding Function key.
8. The configuration option for the data port channel allocation destination appears on
the screen. Select NET to assign this port to the network interface, select DTE to
assign this port to the DTE Drop/Insert (DSX-1) interface, or press the
the appropriate Function key to assign this port to another port.
9. Press F1 (Next) to display the appropriate configuration options on the screen. Use
one of the following examples, depending on whether you are assigning by block,
ACAMI, or individual channel.
