Possible cause
Feed roller control set too low.
PTO RPM set too low.
Dull blades.
Bed plate gap not correct.
Dull blades.
High content of sap.
Dull blades.
Bed gap is incorrect.
PTO RPM is below 540.
Belt tension is set incorrect.
Belt worn or old.
Bearings not sufficiently lubricated.
Worn bearings.

Solution
Increase feed roller control to a greater value.
Tractor output RPM must be 540.
Reverse blades, sharpen or replace blades.
Check and set bed plate gap to proper specification.
Reverse blades, sharpen or replace blades.
Clean blades and bed plate.
Reverse blades, sharpen or replace blades. Clean
blades and bed plate.
Check bed plate gap and adjust to proper specs
Adjust tractor RPM to 540 output.
Check belt tension and adjust accordingly.
Replace belt with OEM replacement belt.
Apply grease to bearings.
Replace belt with OEM replacement bearings.
