7. CD PLAYER

m< SEARCH ►m - for selecting the next/previous track or
searching for a particular passage during playback.
2 SHUFFLE - for playing a CD or program in random order.

SCAN - for playing the first 10 seconds of each track on a
CD or in a program.
4 CD TRAY - for inserting a CD.

REPEAT - for repeating a particular track, a program or the
whole CD.
6 TIME - for selecting the time information you want to see
on the display.

EDIT - for automatically creating a selection of tracks
adjusted to the maximum playing time of a cassette for
making a recording.
8 TITLES - for assigning a name and a desired equalizer set¬
ting to a CD.

FTS - for activating the FTS memory (FTS = Favourite
Track Selection).
10 REVIEW - for checking a program.
11 CLEAR - for erasing track numbers from a program, eras¬
ing a whole (FTS) program or erasing titles and desired
equalizer settings.
12 PROG(ram) - for activating the program memory when
compiling a program and for storing a program in the FTS
memory.
13 DISPLAY - for displaying information about the functioning
of the player.
14 OPEN/CLOSE - for opening and closing the CD
compartment. The compartment also closes when the
front is pressed briefly.
15 STOP ■ - for stopping play.
16 PLAY/PAUSE - for starting and interrupting play.

- EDIT - Lights up when the player is in the EDIT mode.
- PROGR.(am) - Lights up during programming, when a pro¬
gram is stored and when a program is being played.
- TRACK - Indicates what track is being played; the number
of tracks on the CD or in a program.
- TOTAL TIME - Indicates the total playing time of the CD or
a program.
- TOTAL REM(aining) TIME - Indicates the remaining playing
time of the CD or a program.
- TRACK TIME - Indicates the elapsed playing time of the
track being played.
- REM(aining) TRACK TIME - Indicates the remaining playing
time of the track being played.
- SHUFFLE - Lights up when the tracks are played in random
order in the shuffle mode.
- FTS - Flashes after the FTS key has been pressed; lights up
when an FTS program is played.
- PAUSE - Lights up when play is interrupted.
- REPEAT - Lights up when you repeat a CD or a program.
- REPEAT 1 - Lights up when you repeat one track
- TEXT DISPLAY-To show messages, playing time informa¬
tion or disc titles.
- 1-20 track number indicator (Music calendar) - Shows
the track currently playing and the (remaining) tracks which
are not being played at the moment.
