1 TIMER ON/OFF - for (de)activating the tinners

5 BAND - for selecting FM, MW or LW band (LW not in all
versions)
6 PROG - for entering the programming mode to change and
store preset stations
7 CLEAR - for erasing station names, preset numbers and
equalizer/tuner preset combinations
8 MONO - for switching between mono and stereo
9 NEWS/TIMER SET- for entering the timer and news pro¬
gramming mode to change and store the news and timer
settings
10 CLOCK SET- for setting date and time of the clock
11 DISPLAY - for switching the tuner display between clock,
frequency and station name mode
12SND - for assigning a station name and a desired equalizer
setting to a preset station
13 AUTOPROG - for activating the automatic programming of
preset stations
14NEWS - for (de)activating the news timer
TUNING GRID
In North and South America the frequency step between adjacent channels in the AM band
must bo 10 kHz In all other parts of the world this step is 9 kHz. In the /01 version of this unit
tho frequency step can be changed, if necessary.
To chongo to 9 kHz:
• Switch off the POWER
• Keep BAND 5 and TUNING ◄ pressed down and switch on the POWER aqain.
• Release the BAND and TUNING keys.
• Tho display shows for 2 seconds: Rfl 9 KC
To chongo to 10 kHz:
• Switch off the POWER
• Keep BAND 5 and TUNING ► pressed down and switch on the POWER again.
• Release the BAND and TUNING keys.
• Tho display shows for 2 seconds: RM IQ kC
Usually tho frequency step has been preset in the factory for correct operation in your area.
SWITCHABLE LW WAVEBAND
In some countries (Australia, New Zealand, etc.) the LW Waveband does not exist. In the /00
version of this unit it is possible to delete the LW waveband from the BAND menu.
To delete tho LW waveband:
• Switch off the POWER
• Keop BAND 5 and TUNING ► pressed down and switch on the POWER again.
• Release tho BAND and TUNING keys.
• Tho display shows for 2 seconds. UJ OfT
To Include tho LW waveband:
• Switch off tho POWER
• Keop BAND 5 and TUNING ◄ pressed down and switch on the POWER again.
• Roloaso tho BAND and TUNING keys.
• Tho display shows for 2 seconds:

- PROGRAM - Flashes when you are in the programming
mode to programme a preset station.
- PRESET - Lights up when a preset station is selected.
- NEWS - Lights up when the news timer is activated
- STEREO - Lights up when you are receiving a FM stereo
transmitter. If you press MONO 8 while receiving a mono
transmitter, STEREO lights up for 2 seconds.
- SLEEP - Lights up when the sleep timer is activated.
- TIMER (1,2) lights up to indicate which timer is activated.
- PM, AM - to indicate part of the day for the 12-hour clock
- FM, MW, LW - to indicate the selected band
- TEXT DISPLAY - to show messages, day and time, frequen¬
cy (and presetnumber) or station name
- MHz, kHz - to indicate wether the frequency is given in MHz
(FM band) or kHz (for MW and LW)
- SYMBOLS - The bell symbol lights up if the buzzer is select¬
ed for an active timer and the music note symbol lights up if
a music source is selected for an active timer.
