i AMS (Automatic Music Search)_
| If a recorded cassette has 5-second gaps between the tracks,
1 it is possible to jump to a next or previous track during play-
, back using the AMS function. The deck start fast winding to
; the desired track and plays the track. There are several
j
options:
On the cassette deck {with playback direction ►):
• Press « or» as often as you like until you hear the desired
song.
If you press « once while playing, the current track will be
played again from the beginning. If you press it twice you
will hear the previous track. If you press » once the next
track will be played.
Notes:
- With playback direction ◄ : press ◄◄ to hear the next track(s)
and press ►► once to replay the current track and twice to
hear the previous track(s).
- Press STOP ■, PLAT ◄ or PLAY ► to stop the Automatic
Music Search.
On the remote control {with playback direction ►)
• Press PREVIOUS once to replay the current track.
• Press PREVIOUS twice to hear the previous track.
• Press NEXT once to hear the next track.
• Press NEXT e.g. three times to play the third track following
after the currently played track.
Notes:
- You can press the NEXT or PREVIOUS keys a maximum of
15 times for one AMS command.
- Press STOP ■, PLAY ◄ or PLAY ► to stop the AMS.
COMPACT CASSETTES_
- The tape in the cassette is attached at both ends with leader
tape. Nothing can be recorded for 6 to 7 seconds at the
beginning and the end of the tape.
- Accidental erasure of a
recording can be prevented
by breaking the small tab in
the top left-hand corner on
the back of the cassette
when playing the tape in the ►
direction. When playing
the tape in the ◄ direction
you must break the tab in the
top right-hand corner.You can
then no longer record on this
side. This protection can be removed by covering the hole
with a small piece of adhesive tape.
- Store your cassettes after use in the box provided. Keep the
cassettes at room temperature and avoid leaving them in the
sun or too close to magnets and transformers of e.g.
recorders, radios, television units and loudspeakers.
DOLBY NOISE REDUCTION
_
- The Dolby Noise Reduction system is manufactured under
license from Dolby Laboratories Licensing Corporation. The
word 'Dolby* and the □□ symbol are trademarks of Dolby
Laboratories Licensing Corporation.
- The system is switched on and off with DOLBY B/C button
8. Noise reduction is approximately a factor 3 with Dolby B
and a factor 10 with Dolby C.
A cassette recorded with the Dolby Noise Reduction system
must also be played back in the Dolby NR mode. If you for¬
get to operate the Dolby B/C on/off button, the treble may
be reproduced too strongly or too faintly.
- Dolby Noise Reduction System has no influence when dub¬
bing. An original cassette recorded with Dolby NR automati¬
cally produces a copy with Dolby NR during dubbing.
CASSETTE DECK MAINTENANCE
_
-After approximately 15 hours of use the heads (A), the
capstans (f) and the pressure rollers (£) must be cleaned.
You can clean them by playing a cleaning cassette or with a
cotton bud dipped in alcohol.Make sure that the unit is not
connected to the mains.
- The drive mechanism must not be lubricated!
