NOTE: Redundancy Manager should be selected for only one switch in the network.
NOTE: In the Automatic Redundancy Detection mode, the device automatically detects if there
is a HRP Manager in the ring and adopts the role of the HRP Client. If no HRP Manager is found,
all devices with Automatic Redundancy Detection or MRP Auto Manager negotiate the role of
MRP Manager. The device with the lowest MAC address will always become MRP Manager, while
the other devices automatically set to MRP Client mode.
NOTE: When configuring HRP Ring, one device set to HRP Manager, the rest set to either HRP
Client or Automatic Redundancy Detection mode.
5.
Navigate to Menu > Layer 2 > Ring Redundancy > Ring tab to specify the Redundancy Mode.

Specify the Ring Ports.

Specify the Observer for HRP Rings – see the Online Help
for details.
8.
Click Set Values.
NOTE: Changing the Ring Ports, follow the steps below:
1.
Open the ring.
2.
Select the new ring ports.
3.
Change the cable connections.
4.
Close the ring.

Navigate to Menu > Layer 2 > Ring Redundancy > Standby tab to configure redundant linking
of two HRP rings, where two neighboring switches within the same ring are configured as standby
master and standby slave and are connected via parallel cables to two switches in another ring.
