This manual provides information that is necessary for proper installation and/or operation of the product. Poor in-
stallation and/or improper operating or maintenance will result in unsatisfactory performance and a possible failure.

• Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than original spare parts provided by the manufacturer

7 Replacing the refrigerant

WARNING! Explosion and fire hazard
• Install a continuously operating refrigerant leak detector for flammable refrigerant to provide early
warning of refrigerant leaks, to ensure the technical is aware of potentially toxic or flammable atmos-
pheres.
• Ensure that no live electrical components or rings are exposed when charging, restoring, or dis-
charging the refrigerant circuit.
• Ensure that the capacitors are drained before removing or recharging the refrigerant.
WARNING! Electrocution hazard
Ensure that all electrical components are sealed.
WARNING! Risk of injury
• When replacing components ensure that the degree of protection is not impaired by changes to
the housing.
• Ensure that the seals are intact and correctly placed so that no flammable atmosphere can enter the
roof air conditioner.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
• Ensure the grounding is present.
• Do not fill extracted refrigerant into another refrigeration circuit until it has been cleaned and in-
spected.
• Change the refrigerant only as described in these instructions.
NOTE
• Ensure that hoses or lines are as short as possible to minimize the amount of refrigerant they contain.
• Ensure that the roof air conditioner has labels indicating that the roof air conditioner contains flam-
mable refrigerant.
• When the roof air conditioner has been taken out of service and the refrigerant has been drained,
the roof air conditioner must be provided with a label containing this information. The label must be
dated and signed.
