3.4 TROUBLESHOOTING

3.4.1 Diagnostics

The boiler is equipped with an advanced self-diagnosis system. In case of a fault, the corresponding code will be shown
on the display.
• A fault displayed as "A" will block the boiler. To resume operation, keep the reset button
• A fault displayed as "F" causes shutdown. The boiler will automatically resume normal operation after the problem has
been eliminated.
The following table shows some causes of faults and some cures that the user can implement.
In case of a recurring fault that cannot be eliminated, contact the support personnel of FERROLI.

Possible cause
The heating thermostat is damaged
The water in the heating system is not circulating
There is air in the heating system
The water in the heating system is not circulating
There is air in the heating system
The heating temperature sensor has fallen or been
damaged (the temperature increase of the heating
sensor and the DHW sensor does not exceed 3 °C
after normal heating for 5 min. No detection is
required if 40 °C is exceeded)
Not activated if parameter P09 is 0 (default value)
Loose line, open circuit, short circuit or connection
or short circuit of the heating temperature sensor
Loose line, open circuit, short circuit or connection
or short circuit of the heating temperature sensor
Loose line, open circuit, short circuit or connection
or short circuit in the hot water storage tank NTC
Not detected if parameter P05 = 0 (default value)
Water loss in the heating circuit
The water pressure sensor/switch is disconnected
or damaged
Type of pressure sensor different from the selection
of parameter P03
Water loss in the heating circuit
Pump blocked
The water in the heating system is not circulating

pressed for 1 second.
Cure
Check the correct position and operation of the
heating thermostat
Check the circulating pump to eliminate air
from the heating system
Check the circulating pump to eliminate air
from the heating system
Check that the heating temperature sensor
does not fall, or replace it
Check the connection or replace the
temperature sensor
Check the connection or replace the
temperature sensor
Check the connection or replace the
temperature sensor
Replenish the water in the heating circuit
Check the water pressure switch
Check and modify parameter P03
Inject water into the system
Check the pump circulation
