In this example, the ROM type was not specified in the TY E command. All of the ROM
types that the installed personality module supports are then displayed and the ROM type is
requested. The ROM type is selected by entering the ROM number (27128).
Once the TY E command has been executed, a 27128 is installed in the iU -F27/128 person
ality module.

Verify that the type of ROM that you are installing is the same as the type selected with
the TY E command. If you specify its type incorrectly, you can damage a ROM when
you try to program it or read it.
Using the MA command, you can see that the data type and file type default values are
initially set to hexadecimal and 286 (output file format), respectively.
