  • Page 5: Foundation Fieldbus Communication Getting Started

    The transmitter of Fieldbus communication type employs the specification standardized by the Fieldbus FOUNDATION and provides interoperability between Yokogawa devices and those produced by other manufacturers. Fieldbus comes with software consisting of one AI function block that enable the flexible implementation of systems.

    Termination processing depends on the type of device being deployed. Some hosts require a connector. Refer to Yokogawa when making arrangements to purchase the recommended equipment. Connect the devices as shown in Figure 3.1. Connect the terminators at both ends of the trunk, with a minimum length of the spur laid for connection.
