connected to the utility power, but the input voltage icon will not appear. Instead, the
battery icon is shown, notifying that the power now comes from the battery, and the
alarm beeps every 7 seconds. You can turn off the alarm by short pressing the power
button. When the battery is critically low, the alarm will beep every 1 second and it is
not possible to mute it.
6.3.2. Turn off the UPS
Turn off the UPS in Normal mode
To turn off the UPS in Normal Mode, press and hold the power button until you
hear the beep. The device will shut down but continue to charge the battery if it is
connected to the utility power supply. It will also continue to provide power on the
Bypass outlets if it is connected to the utility power supply.
Turn off the UPS in Battery mode
To turn off the UPS in Backup Mode, press and hold the power button until you hear
the beep. The UPS will shut down completely and the battery won't be charged. In this
case, the Bypass outlets won't provide power, as the device is not connected to the
utility power supply.
6.3.3. Battery Self-test
The UPS performs a battery self-test every time it is turned on with the utility power.
The self-test is designed to determine any issue that may occur with the battery
power supply. If the battery status is normal, the UPS will continue to operate in
Normal Mode.
6.3.4. Alarm Mute
When the UPS is in Backup Mode, the alarm beeps once every 7 seconds. You can
mute the alarm tone manually by short-pressing the power button. The alarm can't be
muted when the battery is critically low.
6.3.5. Autorun
When the utility power is cut off the UPS will automatically switch to the Backup
Mode, during which the battery will supply the connected loads. The switching time to
the Backup Mode is between 2 and 6 milliseconds.
