The manual is designed to aid water treatment equipment manufacturers in the selection of the various control valve options. Information in this manual is different than what is needed for installation and servicing of a particular water treatment system.

Page 8 WS1CI & WS1.25CI Manual Drive Assembly The drive assembly consists of the following parts: • Drive Bracket • Printed Circuit (PC) Board • Motor • Drive Gears • Drive Gear Cover The drive bracket holds the PC board, the motor, the drive gears and the drive gear cover in place. The PC board receives and retains information, displays the information, determines when to regenerate and initiates regeneration.

WS1CI & WS1.25CI Manual Page 9 Injector Cap, Screen, Injector Plug and Injector The screen, injector and/or injector plug(s) are installed under the injector cap in an easy to access location on top of the valve. The injector cap contains four slots so no water accumulates in the cap. The injector cap is designed to be hand tightened. Under the injector cap there is an easy to clean removable screen to prevent fouling of the injector.

Page 10 WS1CI & WS1.25CI Manual The refi ll fl ow control assembly is installed in an easy to access refi ll elbow located on top of the control valve. The refi ll fl ow control assembly is attached to the control valve with a locking clip. The locking clip allows the elbow to rotate 270 degrees so the outlet can be orientated toward the regenerant tank.
WS1CI & WS1.25CI Manual Page 11 Water Meter or Meter Plug The water meter is installed on the outlet side of the control valve. The water meter uses a turbine to measure the volume of treated water. The turbine rotates with the fl ow of water and reports its rate of rotation through Hall effect circuitry to the printed circuit (PC) board.

Page 22 WS1CI & WS1.25CI Manual User Display Settings General Operation When the system is operating, one of three displays may be ➟ shown. Pressing NEXT will alternate between the displays. One of the displays is always the current time of day. The second display is one of the following: days remaining or volume remaining.

WS1CI & WS1.25CI Manual Page 23 Set Time of Day The user can also set the time of day. Time of day should only need to be set after extended power outages or when daylight saving time begins or ends. If an extended power outage occurs, the time of day will fl ash on and off which indicates the time of day should be reset.

Note: The salt used per regeneration setting can be set in increments of 0.05 Kg, but the Kg REMAINING screen will round up or down to the closest whole number.

WS1CI & WS1.25CI Manual Page 45 Service Instructions Drive Assembly Remove the valve cover to access the drive assembly. Disconnect the power source plug (black wire) from the PC board prior to disconnecting the motor or water meter plugs from the PC board.

Page 46 WS1CI & WS1.25CI Manual Replace the motor if necessary. Do not lubricate the motor or the gears. To reinstall the motor, move the spring clip loop to the right and hold. Gently turn the motor while inserting so that the gear on the motor meshes with the gears under the drive gear cover. Release the spring clip loop and continue to rotate the motor until the wires are horizontal and the motor housing engages the small plastic bulge inside the drive bracket motor retainer.
