If you need to initiate a manual regeneration, either immediately, or tonight at the preprogrammed time (typically 2 a.m.), complete the following steps.

Page 8 WS1TC & WS1.25 TC Manual Drive Assembly The drive assembly consists of the following parts: • Drive Bracket • Printed Circuit (PC) Board • Motor • Drive Gears • Drive Gear Cover The drive bracket holds the PC board, the motor, the drive gears and the drive gear cover in place. The PC board receives and retains information, displays the information, determines when to regenerate and initiates regeneration. -

WS1TC & WS1.25 TC Manual Page 9 Injector Cap, Screen, Injector Plug and Injector The screen, injector and/or injector plug(s) are installed under the injector cap in an easy to access location on top of the valve. The injector cap contains four slots so no water accumulates in the cap. The injector cap is designed to be hand tightened. Under the injector cap there is an easy to clean removable screen to prevent fouling of the injector. -

Page 10 WS1TC & WS1.25 TC Manual The refi ll fl ow control assembly is installed in an easy to access refi ll elbow located on top of the control valve. The refi ll fl ow control assembly is attached to the control valve with a locking clip. The locking clip allows the elbow to rotate 270 degrees so the outlet can be orientated towards the regenerant tank. -

To adjust the blended water, close the mixing valve. Open a water faucet to the desired fl ow rate. Open the mixing valve until the desired hardness is reached. -

WS1TC & WS1.25 TC Manual Page 19 and tighten the nut on to the ¾” drain line fi tting. The nut is only designed for use with fl exible polytube. Use other nuts if attaching different materials. To access the drain line fl ow control remove the locking clip by pulling it straight out. Pull fi tting out and replace the locking clip so that it is not misplaced. - Page 20 Page 20 WS1TC & WS1.25 TC Manual Mixing Valve The mixing valve is an option on the control valve. If the control valve is ordered with a mixing valve it will be installed in the control valve assembly process. To adjust the blended water, close the mixing valve. WS1TC & WS1.25 TC Manual Page 37 Service Instructions Drive Assembly Remove the valve cover to access the drive assembly. Disconnect the power source plug (black wire) from the PC board prior to disconnecting the motor plug from the PC board. The power source plug connects to the four-pin jack. - Page 38 Page 38 WS1TC & WS1.25 TC Manual Replace the motor if necessary. Do not lubricate the motor or the gears. To reinstall the motor, move the spring clip loop to the right and hold. Gently turn the motor while inserting so that the gear on the motor meshes with the gears under the drive gear cover. Release the spring clip loop and continue to rotate the motor until the wires are horizontal and the motor housing engages the small plastic bulge inside the drive bracket motor retainer.

Chemically clean in dilute sodium bisulfi te or vinegar, or replace the regenerant piston if needed. To remove the main piston fully extend the piston rod and then unsnap the main piston from its latch by pressing on the side with the number.
