Canceling the PTY standby mode
To cancel the PTY standby mode, press the
PTY button for more than 2 seconds. "PTY"
tums off. To set the PTY standby mode again,
press the PTY button again for more than 2
seconds,
"When the PTY button is pressed while receiving a pro-
gramme of the selected programme type, PTY recep-
tion is canceled and the PTY standby mode is set.
PTY display function
Use this function to display the programme type
of the station currently tuned. Press the DISP
button [@) fo switch the display.

This function automatically tunes in traffic
announcements when they start,
Press the TA button [2]. "TA" lights and the radio
announcements.
To tum the TA function off, press the TA button
again. However, when the TA button is pressed
while a traffic announcement is tuned in, the
traffic announcement mode is cancelled and the
TA stand by mode is set.
* The traffic announcement standby mode is set when
there is (are) a station(s) broadcasting traffic announ-
cements.
"When a traffic announcement has started, "TRA
INFO" is displayed, after which the PS (Programme
Service name ) or the frequency appears.
"When a traffic announcement starts, the loudness
function is tumed off and the volume is automatically
set to the preset level.
