Presetting Stations
A total of 24 stations can be preset. 6 each for
the FM1. FM2, FM3 and AM bands.
Note:
•
When a station is preset, the station previously stored
m the memory at that position is cleared
Presetting stations manually
1) Press the BAND button @2) fo select the band
at which to store the station.
2) Use the Lett and Right buttons [9] to tune in
the station to be preset
3) Press and hold the corresponding Preset bul-
ton |20j lor at least 2 seconds to store the sta¬
tion into memory.
Auto store function (Automatic Station Store)
1) Press the BAND button 51 lo select the band
at which to store the stations.
2) Press and hold the AS button (13) for at least
2 seconds Stations with good reception are
automatically stored at preset to the six but¬
tons § 1 to 6.
* H there are fewer than 6 stations with good recep¬
tion, the stations previously stored at the remain¬
ing buttons are not cleared
Preset Scanning (Preset Station Scan)
When the PS button 51 is pressed, the preset
memory numbers flash and the stations are
tuned in lor 7 seconds each in the order in which
they were stored. Press the PS button again to
cancel the preset scanning mode.
Note:
•
The auto store mode is set it the PS button is pressed
for more than 2 seconds
Area Change Function
Use this to listen to the radio outside ol the
United States.
Switchable frequency spacing
This car stereo is initially set to tune in frequen¬
cy intervals ol 10 kHz for AM and 200 kHz lor
FM, the standard calibrations in the U S. When
using the unit outside the U.S.. use the following
procedure to switch the frequency steps and fre¬
quency range:
1) Turn the power on and set the tuner mode.
2) Keep the BAND button [12J pressed and while
pressing the button, press the function button

3) Release the buttons
This procedure changes the factory setting to
9 kHz steps for AM and 50 kHz steps for FM.

To change the AM/FM setting back to the U.S.
standard frequencies
1) Set the tuner mode.
2) While pressing the BAND button 51 • press
the function button 2 03.
3) Release the buttons
Your car stereo will once again be calibrated
to receive standard U.S. transmissions.

CD Changer Operation_
When a separately sold CD changer (CDC635/
CDC1235) is connected, it can be controlled
from the RAX331D (RAX330F)
CD-ROMs cannot be played
Listening to the Disc
Press the FUNC button [6] to select the CD
changer mode, then the CD starts playing.
Stopping (pausing) Playback
Press the Play/Pause button 51.
Press the Play/Pause button 51 again to resume
playback.
Selection of CDs
Press the Disc Up button 51 or the Disc Down
button

. then select the CD you wish to play.
D-UP:
Every time you press the button,
the CDs will be selected as:
1-*2-*3-*4-»5-»6-> 1„„
D-DOWN Every time you press the button,
the CDs will be selected as:
1 -*6-»5-*4-»3-*2-*1.
Selecting Tracks (songs)
Press the Left and Right buttons [9].
►>: Playback will start from the next track.

4: Playback will start from the beginning of
the track currently playing. When this
button is pressed again, the CD will play
the previous track.
Fast-Forward and Fast-Backward
Press and hold the Left and Right buttons [?].
►>: To fast-forward
<◄: To fast-backward
* Pressing the Left and Right button for 1 second or
longer will move forward or backward 5 times faster
than normal play, and pressing H tor 3 seconds or
longer will do the operation 30 times faster.
Scan Play (Intro Music Scan)
Press the SCN button

shows "SCN," then the CD will play the first 10
seconds of each track of the whole disc. Press
the SCN button

again to disengage the unit

* A scan play will start from the track following the one
currently playing
Repeat Play
Press the RPT button

shows "RPT," then the track currently playing will
be played repeatedly. Press the RPT button 51
again to disengage the unit from repeat play.
