Troubleshooting

This table is intended to assist in resolving user-correctable freezer problems by relating symptoms to their
likely causes. If service beyond the scope of this table is required, contact service at 1-800-553-0039.
Symptom
Does Not Run
Runs continuously,
does not cool.
Clicking sound.
Insufficient cooling

Probable Cause
Unit unplugged.
Blown fuse or tripped circuit
breaker.
Frost buildup on refrigeration coils.
The compressor is equipped
with a thermal protector.
This device shuts off the
compressor when it
becomes too hot. A clicking
sound occurring about
every 30 seconds indicates
this protector is working.
Set temp is too high.
Condenser coil dirty.
Incorrect calibration offset.
Relay (K1) is not functioning.
For future reference, when contacting service please have
the following readily available:
The serial and catalog numbers can be found on the data
plate, which is located inside the unit on the left side wall.
Action
Plug in unit.
Check fuse or circuit breaker at
breaker box.
Defrost unit, try again.
Disconnect power and call
for service.
Reduce temperature setting. Verify
Cool LED is on.
Clean condenser coil with a vacuum
cleaner.
Perform calibration. See Calibration
Offset.
Replace relay.
