KEY SYSTEM COMPONENTS VACUUM HOLDING TANK SYSTEM Vacuum Toilet: The EcoVac™ toilet operates in a way different from other marine toilets. EcoVac sys- tems use a small amount of water (a little more than a pint) per flush in addition to a simple vacuum. The toilet is connected to a pressurized freshwater system.

PROPER CLEANING – TOILET BOWL AND SEAL The EcoVac toilet should be cleaned regularly for maximum sanitation and operational efficiency. Clean it just as you would a household toilet. Fig. A Do not use caustic chemicals, such as drain-opening types, as they will damage the seals.
*See Base Assembly - Page 8. VACUUM TESTER Dometic has developed a simple tool to assist in identifying the location of vacuum leaks. The vacuum tester consists of a vacuum gauge and a cone-shaped plug. Inserting the plug in the inlet of the vacuum tank or generator isolates the toilet from the system.
