may use the CODE+TAB
keys in place of the
key when typing Statistical formats.
The typewriter will automatically align decimal points
at the preset tab stops and eliminates the need to space
to the correct starting position in a column.
This function also can be used when typing formats
which include characters.
Depress the CODE+TAB
keys.
The carriage will move to the first TAB position
and the Display will show:

The entry can be seen on the Display.

Carriage Return (NORM «AUTO)
Repeat the above two steps until you have completed
all of your column entries.
Depress the CODE+TAB
keys.

The first column
will be printed so that thé
decimal point is positioned on the tab stop anq
the carriage will move to the next tab position;

e After entering the last number, depress the
RETURN,
TAB
or PRINT
key to execute
printing.

while "(J)" is on the Display as

CODE-+A keys select whether a carriage return is
made automatically or normally in the "Hot Zone'.

"Hyphen" or "Space'' is entered within
the "Hot Zone'', the carriage automati-
cally returns to the left margin or the
paragraph indent position of the next
line.
